About us
Natalie Field (1935-2015) was committed to her home community of Jackson County Michigan. Natalie, great granddaughter of L.H. Field, founder of the Field Department Store, followed a long family tradition of volunteerism. She gave time and money to local organizations, worked for her political causes, and gave service on various city and county boards. As the descendent of two early families, she was very interested in the research and dissemination of local history.
The L.H. Field Family Foundation, formerly known as The Natalie Field Foundation was formed to carry out the wishes of Natalie Field who died on November 15, 2018. She directed in her will that the residue of her estate be used to form the L.H. Field Family Foundation. The purpose of the Foundation is to carry out the Field family's interests of involving young people in their community through volunteerism; to encourage the study and interpretation of life in Jackson County during the 20th century; and to support local 501(c)3 charitable organizations.
